Pillar 03 · Labs
Where we test what comes next.
Some ideas become products. Some become businesses. Some teach us what not to build.
Labs is the research side of GrowMode. It exists so an idea has to survive contact with a real business before anyone calls it a product, and so we can afford to be wrong early instead of expensively late.
How Labs works
Observe. Test. Build or discard.
01
Observe
Client work surfaces the same obstacles over and over. We write down the pattern, not the guess.
02
Test
Something rough gets put in front of a small number of real businesses to see if it changes anything.
03
Build or discard
What holds up gets built properly and moves toward Products. What doesn't gets dropped, and we say so.
Being wrong early is cheap. Being wrong after launch is not. That's the whole reason Labs exists as its own part of the company.
Where we're looking
Product Lab
Turning repeated client problems into tools an owner could use without us in the room.
Software Lab
Building and testing the technical side: automation, integrations, and customer-facing systems.
Experiments
Short, cheap tests. Most get abandoned on purpose, and that's the point of running them.
Industry Solutions
Looking at what specific industries actually need built for them: trades, food service, fitness, local retail.
How we label things
Every idea carries its real stage, so nothing reads as finished before it is.
- Concept
- An idea written down. Nothing built.
- Research
- Talking to owners and checking whether the problem is real.
- Prototype
- Something rough exists, enough to react to.
- Testing
- In real use with a small number of businesses.
- In Development
- Being built properly toward a release.
- Live
- Released and available.
Nothing here is finished, and we'll say when it is.
When a Labs project reaches Testing or Live, it gets listed with its status and what it does. Until then, this page describes how we work, not what we've shipped.
